Drake-Wizkid-NL

Starboy Wizkid is being said to likely perform on stage alongside Drake at the forthcoming BET Awards 2016.

In an exclusive interview with Fox FM’s Lovin Cee, Lipede Adewole of Backhome Productions, a media outfit based in LA with affiliations with BET International, plans were far advanced for Wizkid to join Drake perform at the BET Awards 2016 scheduled to hold on June 28, 2016.

Answering a question as to when acts from Africa could make a debut on the awards stage to perform, Lipede broke the big news as he said;

“This year we are working on a big deal. Hopefully we can get Wizkid to join Drake on stage. it’s just a matter of time.”

The pair’s ‘One dance’ collaboration is still doing well at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Wizkid has also been nominated in the Best International Act Africa category, where he is to slug it out with fellow Nigerian act Yemi Alade amongst a host of other top African acts such as Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), Diamond Platinumz (Tanzania), amd AKA (South Africa).

Its no news that talented US producer, Swizz Beatz is a huge fan of Wizkid.

Recall last year, Swizz, took to Instagram to share the album cover of Wizkid’s 2014 album, Ayo (Joy)and captioning it Vibes before posting a video of himself listening to Ojuelegba.

Well, seems that love for one another has soared into another level as Wizkid, some minutes ago to reveal that he just finished working with the talented Swizz on a new song

Wizkid, has been on high waves since his collaboration with multi talented act, Drake, went double platinum in the US. He definitely has no plans of stopping the waves.

Singer, Seyi Shay, has come under massive fire after claiming Wizkid wrote Canadian rapper, drake’s mega hit song, ‘One Dance.

Seyi, who is presently in Jamaica sat down for an interview last night with Onstage TV, where she talked about the song.

Upon being asked about the said song, Seyi Shay replied saying the song was actually originaly written by Wizkid, contrary to what everyone else thinks.

This claim almost immediately got to Wizkid, who in no time took to twitter asking her to shut up as she knows nothing about what she just said.

The same debate is going on in Africa right now, that he sampled an Afrobeat.That song is actually Wizkid’s song .So it’s not Drake’s song. I don’t know if I can talk about this but Wizkid wrote it, Legendary Beatz did the beat and some other Nigerian producers produced it as an Afrobeats song and they stripped a lot of the music away and just left the rhythm”.

Justin Bieber falls off stage in Canada (video)

Justin Bieber took an embarrassing tumble while performing on stage in Saskatoon, Canada on Thursdaynight. The Canadian singer was striding across the stage when he dramatically fell down a trap door. His fall from the stage comes on the heels of a chaotic few months for the singer. He's cancelled meet-and-greets with fans, wandered Boston barefoot and got into a dust-up in Cleveland.

OJB Jezreel dies one month to his 50th birthday.

Veteran music producer and singer, OJB Jezreel, 49, is dead. Babatunde Okungbowaaka OJB Jezreel is reported to have passed on an hour ago today, June 14, 2016.

Close sources revealed the music maestro who had a kidney transplant in 2013 failed last week and his family had to keep him on N35, 000 dialysis daily to overcome the relapse.

OJB sadly passes on a month to his 50th birthday. His body has been deposited in a morgue at Isolo General Hospital.

 OJB Jezreel suffered from a kidney ailment in 2013 and had a successful kidney transplant within the same year after several contributions from friends and artistes in the music industry.

Music producer and singer, K-Solo andJazzman Olofin also took to Twitter to confirm the death of the singer. K-Solo tweeted, "#OJB PASSED ON. just left this sinful World...Trying to get the Family."

‘Omo Alhaji’ crooner, Ycee has just been announced as a brand ambassador for telecomms company, Samsson.

The ‘Jagaban’ singer put pen to paper on Friday,June 10, 2016 at the Sammson group Headquarters in Lagos.

Ycee joins singer, Seyi Shay who was announced as an ambassador few weeks ago.

This makes him one of the artists signed on with Samsson as an ambassador for the ‘Cloud 9 Celebrity Hangout’

The talented hip-hop artiste who has made his mark in the music industry and continues to wow his fans by consistently dropping great tunes must be ecstatic about the new endorsement.

Ycee nabbed his first endorsement with hair care product KUI last month.

Lil Wayne suffered a seizure during a cross-country flight, forcing his private jet to make an emergency landing in Nebraska ... TMZ has learned. Wayne was flying from Milwaukee to California when the seizure struck -- and we're told he'd blacked out when the pilot put the jet down Monday afternoon in Omaha. Paramedics are at the airstrip right now, and Wayne is alert again. As of 1:30 PM PT ... we're told he's refusing medical treatment. 
The same thing happened to Weezy in 2012 ... when his private jet made emergency landings two days in a row. He also suffered seizures in 2013 -- one of which was nearly fatal.
Wayne has said he's epileptic and has suffered seizures since childhood.

After the divorce settlement, Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose partied together at a strip club inLos Angeles on Monday, June 6, 2016.

“Too much fun with my Ex hubby last night & no we didn't celebrate our divorce we celebrated our love 4 each other cuz that never goes away ,”  Amber Rose tweeted.

Early today, photos emerged online of estranged couple, Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa celebrating the peaceful end of their divorce by partying at a strip club. According to reports, Amber received $1 million as stipulated in their prenup, along with $14,800-a-month in child support for Sebastian, their three-year-old son. This would of course justify the celebration on her end but she took to twitter to debunk claims that they were celebrating their divorce. According to her, they celebrated their 'love' for one another.

As of last night, Amber was back in the arms of her one true love and the father of her child, Wiz Khalifa. The two were pictured at the VIP section of Ace of Diamonds strip club in LA on Monday night and eye witnesses told TMZ they were cozy and flirty with each other, and that the two held hands as they left the club together. Amber and Terrence have since unfollowed each other on instagram and have removed each other's photos from their respective IG pages...

Music star Waje [real names Aituaje Iruobe], has opened up on some of her misgivings in life as a single mum, stressing that she would make sure her daughter doesn’t repeat the same mistakes she made by being put in the family way outside wedlock.

In a recent chat, the mother of one said: “I’m a mother but I know where to draw the line.

It is because I don’t want her to make the same mistakes I made. I feel like some of the decisions I made was because I was raised differently…

“Our parents taught us what they knew as the truth, but what you know as the truth might not be the truth.

Another thing is that parents do not tell their children why certain behaviours should be avoided.

“For example, parents say, ‘don’t drink because I said so’ and not ‘don’t drink because it is bad for your health’; but I’m learning that for the children of this age, you have to tell them all the reasons why they should not do certain things.

“While my daughter was growing up, I took up the reward method; you do good, you get good. There was a consequence for every action.”

Waje, whose daughter recently turned 17 continued, “There were many times I really prayed that The One will quicken his steps to make things easier.

It did get too much when it is time to pay rent, school fees, and other miscellaneous expenses.

“I had my own share of pillow cries and made sure she doesn’t see it. Sometimes she could come asking, ‘Why didn’t you and my Dad stay together?’ And, when I first moved to Lagos, I couldn’t afford to have my daughter with me because I didn’t have a house; I was squatting with someone. There was a time I saw her like twice a year.

“There were times she cried, mummy I want to come and live with you, but I couldn’t afford it till 2011. Yet looking at my daughter, I will be honest that she is a blessing.

“And the blessing outweighs the challenges. I have learnt to be patient, more accommodating and to pay attention to details as a mom.

I have also learnt to map out my priorities, because there are some things I simply cannot do as a mom.”

She added that her baby-daddy wasn’t ready at the time she took in.
